ELECTRONIC GEAR Most of you come to Latigo to get away from the bombardment of electronic messages and to get in touch with nature, your family and your self. We strongly encourage you to leave your electronic devices at home. With that said, it is true that the Ol' West ain't what it use to be. Cell phone service at the ranch is good for Verizon and several other carriers. There is no cell reception in much of the area where we ride. Everyday more devices automatically connect to the internet through Wi-Fi whenever it is available, and these graphically intensive devices gobble up bandwidth.  We have upgraded our internet connection to a T1 link.  The amount of traffic that this link can handle will be substantially greater than the satellite link we had been using.  Consequently, you should be able to connect, and access speeds should be reasonably good, but not be blindingly fast.  You may want to make angements to connect through your wireless phone provider. Most cell phones work at the ranch, but some services don’t; check with your service provider.
