ALL-INCLUSIVE RATES - If you are comparing rates, look closely. At some ranches, there may easily be a 20% difference between the published rate and what you actually end up paying. Our rates include not only all of the ranch activities & services, but the gratuities too. The reasons for this are simple. We want you to have the freedom to participate in whatever ranch activities there are without worrying about whether or not there is any extra cost. We don’t want you to have any surprises when you get ready to check-out. We don’t want you to feel pressured to leave a substantial tip. Some ranches charge extra for the overnight pack trip, river rafting, riding lessons, or even soft drinks. These items can easily add up to an additional 5% over the published price for your stay. Many ranches expect you to "voluntarily" add a tip of 12 to 15% on top of your bill. While others, add a mandatory service charge of 15%. Remember, all ranches have sales taxes and many have lodging taxes. When combined, these vary from about 4% to 8% of your bill. The tax rate for Latigo is 4.6%.

These rates are an all-inclusive package plan. They INCLUDE gratuity, meals, lodging, horse-back riding and instruction, overnight pack trip, social activities, river rafting, use of all facilities, the children's program and, of course, incredible scenery! Taxes are 4.6% additional.

Partial-week stays are sometimes available. Rates for a 3 day stay are 60% of full rate. These stays require a three-day minimum with check-in on either Sunday or Wednesday.
7 DAY/6 NIGHT WEEK - Our activities begin Sunday afternoon, with check-in 2:30 to 6 PM, and run through lunch on Saturday afternoon, with checkout by 2 PM. Some ranches have a 7 night week. At Latigo, you can ride morning and afternoon Monday through Friday. To cap off our week’s horseback activities, Saturday morning has a breakfast ride, then head out on the trail for that "last ride" before lunch. Many other ranches with 7 night stays don’t have rides Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning anyway. So, you will not be missing any riding. Some other ranches have one day dedicated to rafting or some other off-ranch activity that may mean one less day with your horse. With our schedule, Saturday afternoon and Sunday you have a little time to explore Colorado; maybe visit Rock Mountain National Park or catch a rodeo. Also, you could schedule a plane late Saturday afternoon or early Sunday that will get you home at a reasonable hour. Once you’re home, you then have a chance to catch-up before you jump into Monday’s activities.
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION - A deposit of 25% is required to confirm your reservation. Cancellations made before 45 days of scheduled arrival will result in a refund of the deposit less a $75 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 45 days of scheduled arrival will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit unless we can fill the vacated space. If we can fill the vacated space with some other guest, then the deposit will be refunded, less the $75 fee.
FORM OF PAYMENT - We prefer a personal check, cash or travelers checks. We also accept MasterCard or Visa.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Our guests check in after 2:30 pm and before 6:00 pm on Sunday, and check out on Saturday, around 2:00 pm. We encourage guests to stay through lunch on Saturday to get in that "last ride".
FAMILY REUNIONS - Families are discovering that Latigo is ideal for reunions. The combination of activities, children's program, and all meals provided, give variety and freedom ideal for a large family.
GROUPS, MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES
Latigo offers an especially creative atmosphere for truly productive sessions. We avoid mixing group meetings with our regular guests. Ask what we can offer for your group.
LAUNDRY FACILITIES
For the convenience of the guests, we have laundry facilities at the ranch.
U.S. NATIONAL FORESTS - To enhance the guest experience, we often conduct riding and other recreational activities on more than 40,000 acres of permitted area in Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest. Latigo is an equal opportunity service provider.
